Freedom from Religious Suppression

Thousands of believers from post-Soviet nations are currently in the U.S. on temporary programs and visas (U4U, TPS, CBP-1 and others) that do not provide long-term status. If forced to return, they face severe persecution and even criminal prosecution for their Christian faith and pacifist beliefs.

Project EXODUS is ARRC's flagship initiative, continuing our legacy of advocacy. Our mission is to establish sustainable legal pathways for Christians from post-Soviet countries who face persecution for their faith. We are working to secure a new immigration quota that recognizes these persecuted believers as refugees, and to renew the Lautenberg Amendment so they can find safety in USA and rebuild their lives

This mission continues ARRC's historic legacy. The advocacy of our president Boris Perchatkin, a former Soviet-Union dissident, before the U.S. Congress played a significant role in the passage of the original Lautenberg Amendment, which opened the door to freedom for hundreds of thousands of believers.

Protecting the persecuted is a cornerstone of America's identity as a nation built on religious freedom. For us, this work is a sacred duty, answering the call of Scripture:

"The LORD said, 'I have indeed seen the misery of my people in Egypt. I have heard them crying out because of their slave drivers, and I am concerned about their suffering. So I have come down to rescue them... and to bring them up out of that land into a good and spacious land...'"
— Exodus 3:7-8
